PUBLIC HEARING JUNE 24, 2026 6:30 PM AT SENIOR CENTER REGARDING PROPOSED CHANGES TO WATER REGULATIONS FOR HYDRANT FEES AND TAP FEES. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

In an effort to minimize the costs to users while complying with all regulatory mandates for providing clean drinking water, the Village of Catskill is considering an increase in the O+M fee (Operations and Maintenance fees) of $4.50 quarterly for inside Village users and $9.00 quarterly for outside Village users.

The Village is also updating its tap fee schedule in order to accurately reflect the cost of materials related to the different tap sizes and service line uses. The necessary materials for each tap size will be the price as published by FW WEBB, EJP or other official supplier to the Village DPW plus 10%. Labor costs will be in accordance with a schedule adopted by the Village Board of Trustees as may be amended from time to time.

The installation of Fire Flow Meters on all commercial sprinkler and fire service lines will also be considered. This will apply to all commercial and multifamily users that have sprinkler systems. This is an effort to identify and control unmetered leaks of water that unfairly burdens all other users of the Village water.
